As a licensed agent since 2005, Janice began her career as a sales assistant to learn the business and the unique market of this area. Joining Signature Properties Group, Inc. in 2006, she quickly made her mark with over 5 million in sales in her first full year. With a 30-year career dedicated to customer service and helping people, Janice applies her passion and uncanny talent of connecting with people to helping them find their dream home and property.
Janice grew up in the Tidewater area of Virginia, and graduated from Virginia Tech University in 1977 with a degree in business. She spent the next 21 years working in the field of juvenile justice as a social worker and probation officer. In 1998 she moved to Atlanta, and for 6 months worked as a customer service representative for AirTran Airlines, afterward returning to the juvenile justice field in Atlanta for the next 6 years. In 2005, Janice moved to St Simons Island with her husband, Chuck, and daughter, Erin. Her experience in finding just the right home on the island was so rewarding that she decided to go into the real estate field. Helping families to solve their problems has always been her special gift, and she is now looking forward to applying this talent to her new career in real estate.
"I was introduced to the Golden Isles area by my husband, Chuck, who grew up in Atlanta and always vacationed here. Growing up in Virginia, my perception of the coast was Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks of North Carolina, which are great places, but lack the overall beauty of The Golden Isles. The beaches, marsh, oaks, and wildlife of this area are just breathtaking, and I immediately fell in love with it. In 2005, we reached our goal of retiring here, and bought a beautiful home on St Simons Island. I am so happy here that even before I became a real estate agent, I was soliciting friends and relatives to join me in the move, so they could experience the same satisfaction I had found. Naturally, my next move was to get into the field, because I genuinely enjoy working with clients in selling and buying their homes, and sharing the great feeling that comes with finding that perfect place. I know that perfect home exists for everyone, and it is my pleasure to assist them to find it, and make the process as pleasant and fun as it can be."
